Collection: Eleva
The Eleva winery is located in Valpolicella, in Veneto. It is an area rich in history and culture, famous above all for the quality of the wines they produce.
Valpolicella enjoys a climate favorable to the cultivation of vines and olive trees due to the geographical position in which it is located: the Eastern Prealps to the north, the Adige river to the south, Monte Pastello to the west while the city of Verona and the east a little further on the Garda Lake.
In the suggestive valleys of Valpolicella, there is the Eleva winery, more specifically in the Valpolicella Classica in the commune of Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella (Loc. Conca d'Oro) where the estate owns 6 hectares of vineyards in a single body with 18 terraces supported by traditional dry stone walls. The vines follow an organic regime and are cultivated with the classic vines of the area: Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta. The wines produced are typical of Valpolicella such as Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Recioto and Amarone. Amarone is produced classically, leaving the grapes to dry naturally in the company fruit cellar before vinification and aging in traditional barrels.
The company was founded in 1989 by Franca Maculan thus realizing her dream of creating something excellent with her strength and her deep knowledge of the world of wine. When everything was ready to start producing the wines, Franca discovered that she was seriously ill and left the estate to a charity through her will.
The favorite charity for the estate decided to entrust the management to Raffaella Veroli, the winemaker of the company; from here begins its story. In the meantime, Davide Gaeta, his university teacher, is also involved in the project.
So Raffaella and Davide decided to continue the project and the dream of Mrs. Franca Maculan by founding the company now known as Società Agricola Eleva.
