Weissburgunder Preasilus is a pure expression of mountain winemaking, crafted in the high-altitude vineyards of the Preasilus region. At 500 meters above sea level, the combination of calcareous soil and an Alpine climate creates the perfect environment for this elegant varietal. The Gump family, with generations of winemaking heritage, tends to the vineyards using biodynamic practices, ensuring that every bottle reflects the purity of its terroir.

Hand-harvested in September at optimal ripeness, the Weissburgunder grapes are carefully vinified to maintain their crisp character. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, preserving the delicate aromas and natural vibrancy of the fruit. The wine then rests on fine lees for several months, gaining texture and depth. The result is a luminous, pale yellow wine with aromas of green apple, lemon, and delicate white flowers. On the palate, its bright acidity and mineral backbone create a refined balance, leading to a fresh, lingering finish. Gump Hof, located in Fiè allo Sciliar at the entrance to the Isarco Valley in South Tyrol, Italy, is a historic winery with a winemaking tradition spanning over 200 years. The estate's origins trace back to 1546, and it has been under the stewardship of the Prackwieser family for more than two centuries. Markus Prackwieser, who took over the family business in 2000, is known for his open and experimental approach to winemaking, drawing inspiration from renowned wine regions such as Austria's Wachau Valley, Burgundy, and France's Loire Valley.
