Pinot Noir is a tribute to the long-standing tradition of the family, who have cultivated vines on the mountainous lands of South Tyrol for generations. Situated at 600 meters above sea level, the vineyard in Caldaro benefits from an ideal microclimate, where warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop exceptional complexity. The biodynamic approach in the winery ensures that every bunch is treated with care, resulting in a wine that truly reflects its origins.

Hand-harvested in September at peak ripeness, the Pinot Noir grapes undergo a gentle fermentation in stainless steel, with a maceration period of about 10 days to extract delicate aromas and fine tannins. After fermentation, the wine rests in oak barrels, where it gains depth and refinement. The result is a bright ruby red wine with vibrant notes of fresh cherries, currants, and ripe strawberries, complemented by hints of spice and delicate floral undertones. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with fine tannins and a lively acidity that enhance its elegance. The finish is clean and fruity, with lingering red fruit and subtle spice, making Pinot Noir both expressive and beautifully balanced.

The estate's origins trace back to 1546, and it has been under the stewardship of the Prackwieser family for more than two centuries. Markus Prackwieser, who took over the family business in 2000, is known for his open and experimental approach to winemaking, drawing inspiration from renowned wine regions such as Austria's Wachau Valley, Burgundy, and France's Loire Valley.
