From Cru Cielo, the highest vineyard in Europe at 1,520 metres, a 1.1-hectare plot planted in 2020 with clones of Pinot Noir, Grenache and Pinot d'Aunis, on ground so volcanic that smoke rose when the first vine posts were driven in. Tiny production. Pale, slightly cloudy red-cherry colour, aromatic with green, sappy red cherry, redcurrant, beetroot and rhubarb, and a fresh, silky palate lifted by wild strawberry and lavender. One of the most unusual wines in the store.
