In the world of V I A V I N O, the passion and expertise of the sommelier come to life. We are the founders, Mattia Spedicato and Søren Ledet, two passionate wine connoisseurs who have decided to share their expertise through a carefully curated selection of Italian wines.

Our oenological journey begins with the consideration that Italian wine is much more than a beverage: it's a story, a tradition, a connection to the land. We have applied meticulous care in selecting the labels you'll find on VIAVINO. We've focused our attention, besides some of the most famous ones, on lesser-known areas of Italy to Denmark, often family-run wineries, rich in authenticity and passion.

V I A V I N O was born with the aim of bringing these lesser-known wine gems to the forefront, presenting a unique range that celebrates the authentic traditions of Italy. Each bottle tells a story of dedication and love for the land, and we are here to guide you on this discovery journey.

The role of the sommelier goes far beyond mere knowledge of wine: it's a commitment to understanding your most intimate tastes and fulfilling every desire related to wine.

VIAVINO Mattia Spedicato

  • Sales Director & Sommelier

    Born in Lecce in 1990, Mattia made his way to Copenhagen in 2015.

    The backdrop to his childhood was his grandfather's vineyards, where the art of crafting local, tasty house wine unfolded. In 2013, he moved to Scotland, where he started his journey in fine dining. Climbing the ranks, his passion for wine intensified. In 2015, he moved to Copenhagen where his fine dining journey at the 3 Michelin-starred Geranium began.

    After acquiring WSET and Court of Master Sommelier certifications, Mattia now orchestrates ViaVino's sales, balancing this with his role as Geranium's Restaurant Manager.

    Mattia, an affable people person, passionately introduces Italian wines with the proclamation:

VIAVINO Søren Ledet

  • PR Director & Sommelier

    Søren was born in Denmark in 1974. He lives with his wife and two children in Frederiksberg.

    Søren started his career in 1995 as a chef and has worked in some of the best restaurants in Denmark. Søren started Geranium with his friend Rasmus in 2007 and in 2016 Geranium earned its third star in the Michelin Guide. Besides being the Co-owner, Søren is also the General Manager and Wine Director at Geranium. Søren Has been studying wine for many years, he is an Advanced Sommelier in the Court of Master sommeliers and a MS Candidate.

    Søren has a soft spot for Italian wines, but he doesn’t really have any favorite wines:
