Vino Rosato - 2020
Granaccia, yes, the grape which its name recall the famous french Grenache or the spanish Garnacha. Farming this variety in Liguria region trace back to the 1829, where since then, it found the perfect spot onto the Ligurian hills. The grapes are selected from a single vineyard, 150mt above the sea level, calcareous-clay soil, with perfect sunlight exposure and diurnal range. The result is a wine with the ideal maturity, structure and complexity.
Podere Grecale is a relatively "young" winery, born 13 years ago from the desire of a father and a daughter to go back to their own origins after living a life away from their birthplace. Lino, the father, really wanted to taste the wine that his ancestors use to make. After the first few harvests they realised to have fallen in love with what they were doing. This passion, gave birth to Podere Grecale.
The wine shows a bright pink coral color with a light concentration. On the nose and palate is delicate with aromas pink grapefruit, tart apricot and fresh berries, with a delicate rose undertone.
After a very gentle and short cold maceration, it ferments at controlled temperature in steel tanks to preserve characteristics and fruit. Maturation on fine lees over 4 months before bottling.
