Terre della Tosa is a under the Gutturnio appellation an very local wine from the Colli Piacentini based on a grape blend of Barbera and Croatina. The wine is produced without any sulphites (SO2) in order to reach an exceptionally aromatic quality. This style of wine represents the character of the land and the people living in Emilia-Romagna, exquisite and convivial.

Azienda Agricola La Tosa was founded by two brothers, Stefano and Ferruccio Pizzamiglio. They have Milanese origin and since their father was a doctor, the Pizzamiglio brothers decided to pursue the same career, thus starting their medical studies. At the same time, during university, the passion for wine was born in an overwhelming way, so they changed fields of study to specialize in the agricultural and oenological fields. Like other Milanese families, the Pizzamiglio also owned a country house, used mostly on weekends to escape the city or to spend the holidays. In their case, the estate was located in the Colli Piacentini areas, and it was here that they decided to found their winery, in the locality of La Tosa, making their debut with the first wine in 1985. The wines they produce respect the territory and the traditions of the area in the style and use of local varieties, such as the Malvasia Aromatica di Candia for the whites and the blend of Barbera and Croatina for the production of Gutturnio. In addition to the wines of the tradition, the company also produces wines based on french varieties; Sauvignon Blanc is used for the white, while the blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is used for the red. A curious detail is the museum set up in the same cellar, created in 2015, dedicated to the regional wine history. A beautiful exhibition where you can see old tools used in the oenological and agricultural fields. La Tosa is a place rich in history that keeps the memory of tradition alive with their current production of fantastic wines from the Colli Piacentini, where the family has lived and worked since 1985.
