Sangiovese is one of the most famous varieties of Italy; it can be found across all the peninsula. It has always been famous for its quality and distinguished character. One of the most exciting areas to grow Sangiovese is the Romagna region where it found the perfect micro-climate, people, and culinary tradition.

Tre Monti winery started in the '70s with Thea and Sergio Navacchia. Nowadays it is managed by his children David and Vittorio, therefore, a family business. Initially, they were seen as revolutionary people because they started lowering the yields in the vineyards in order to be more focused on the quality of the wines rather than the quantity. The winery is focused on local varieties such as Albana and Sangiovese but they are keen to try to use others varieties like Sauvignon blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. They mostly produce classic wines from these varieties but trying also their macerated wines is a must!

Description:

Bright ruby-red. Fresh sour cherry and red plum with hints of violets. The palate has a medium body structure with a long finish carried by raspberry and sage.
The wine goes under maceration for 12 days, the fermentation happens in steel tank and cement vats, followed by malolactic fermentation.
