Le Drude shows the best expression of the Aglianico grape in Vulture area. Austere personality, complexity and great ability of evolution in the glass just after opening, or also in the cellar if you think to store it for more than a decade. This is the result of the unique terroir of the volcano Vulture.

Michele Laluce winery origins dates back to 1905 where Michele's father started planting vineyards at the footsteps of the now extinguished Vulture volcano in Basilicata, near the cities of Venosa and Barile. Michele, since he took over the family business in 2001, he is being representing the territory through his wines also by keeping alive the family traditions. The family focused their production to the traditional variety Aglianico under the appellation Aglianico del Vulture DOC and Aglianico del Vulture Superiore DOCG. The Vulture area is positively affected by the old volcano that created an extremely complex soil rich in volcanic elements, clay and limestone.

Description:

Concentrated ruby red with granate rim. Ripe blackberry, dark cherry, dark plum, dry thyme, tabacco and fireplace sensation. Excellent depth on the palate with ripe tannin. Long finish lead by dark cherry, dry mushroom, savoury notes and bright acidity-mineral character.
The wine is fermented in steel tanks and aged in wooden barrel for 12 months.
