Michele Laluce winery origins dates back to 1905 where Michele's father started planting vineyards at the footsteps of the now extinguished Vulture volcano in Basilicata, near the cities of Venosa and Barile. Michele, since he took over the family business in 2001, he is being representing the territory through his wines also by keeping alive the family traditions. The family focused their production to the traditional variety Aglianico under the appellation Aglianico del Vulture DOC and Aglianico del Vulture Superiore DOCG. The Vulture area is positively affected by the old volcano that created an extremely complex soil rich in volcanic elements, clay and limestone.
