Colli di Lapio is situated 480 m above sea level and it has a dry and breezy climate ideal for winegrowing. In the 18th century, many small family owners grew Fiano grapes, including the Romano family. Then Clelia Romano established the winery in 1994 in Lapio, this commune produces wine based on the Fiano and Aglianico variety under the appellation of Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Taurasi DOCG but they have also vines in Tufo where it is located the area Greco di Tufo DOCG district, these are the most astonishing wine area of southern Italy.
Description:
Star bright straw yellow. Opens with lemon zest, green apple notes, and an almond blossom scent. Followed by stone fruit character and hazelnut. Good tension on the palate, lemon juice, white peach, and citrus blossom. Dry, volcanic mineral and walnut taste on the finish.
The wines have vinified only in steel tanks.
