Fiano di Avellino is an exciting appellation from Campania based on the Fiano variety. Very important wine since the time of the Roman Empire when it was known as Apianum. The vineyards grow on the special soil around the Avellino city with calcareous and volcanic elements giving a unique character to the wine!

Colli di Lapio is situated 480 m above sea level and it has a dry and breezy climate ideal for winegrowing. In the 18th century, many small family owners grew Fiano grapes, including the Romano family. Then Clelia Romano established the winery in 1994 in Lapio, this commune produces wine based on the Fiano and Aglianico variety under the appellation of Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Taurasi DOCG but they have also vines in Tufo where it is located the area Greco di Tufo DOCG district, these are the most astonishing wine area of southern Italy.
