Casa Lola is a sweet version (not passito) of Albana, crafted by Tre Monti from 100% Albana grapes grown in the Petrignone vineyard at 150 meters above sea level. The soil is silty-clayey, and the vines are trained using the Inverted system with a density of 5,500 plants per hectare. Harvested manually in mid-September, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 12 days, followed by fermentation in vitrified steel and concrete tanks. The wine is best paired with non-dairy desserts or enjoyed on its own, slightly chilled.

Tre Monti

In the early 1970s, Thea and Sergio Navecchia founded the Tre Monti winery in Emilia Romagna, marking the beginning of a revolutionary approach to winemaking. As pioneers, they introduced innovative grape varieties and elevated planting density in the vineyards, setting a new standard for the region.

With a dedication to producing exceptional wines, the Navecchia family brought in renowned enologists such as Francesco Spagnolli, Vittorio Fiore, and Donato Lanati, forming a team that focused on both business and experimental winemaking, blending French varieties with local grapes. After Sergio's passing in 1989, his children, David and Vittorio, took over, continuing his vision with unwavering passion.

Today, the winery operates across the hills of Imola and Forlì, with all wines certified organic since 2014. Tre Monti has built a reputation for excellence, garnering attention from international wine critics and becoming a benchmark for Emilia-Romagna wines.

Romagna

Romagna’s terroir is shaped by its rolling hills, extending from the Apennines to the Adriatic coast, creating a diverse range of microclimates. The region experiences a mix of Mediterranean and continental influences, with warm summers and cooling breezes from both the mountains and the sea, allowing for optimal ripening while preserving freshness. The soils vary from clay and limestone in the foothills, which provide structure and minerality, to sandier compositions closer to the plains, which enhance elegance and aromatics. This balance of climate and soil allows for expressive wines, from structured and age-worthy Sangiovese to vibrant, mineral-driven Albana, showcasing the unique identity of Romagna’s viticultural landscape.

Emilia Romagna

Emilia-Romagna’s terroir is incredibly diverse, shaped by a variety of landscapes ranging from the Apennine Mountains in the west to the Po River and the Adriatic coastline in the east. The region’s climate is predominantly continental, with hot summers and cold winters, but it is moderated by its proximity to the sea, particularly along the Adriatic coast. The soils vary significantly, with clay and limestone found in the hills of the central and western parts, and alluvial deposits in the river valleys, contributing to both the richness and the freshness of the wines. The combination of warm daytime temperatures and cool evenings allows for a balance of ripe fruit flavors and acidity. This terroir is ideal for producing a wide range of wines, from light, fresh whites like Trebbiano and Albana, to rich reds such as Sangiovese and Lambrusco, all of which capture the region’s regional identity and its ability to craft wines that are approachable, food-friendly, and full of character.
